The Lalita residential neighborhood has seven days to be cleared out of Kathmandu.


 The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has requested individuals, companies, and organizations located in Ward No. 4 of Lalitpur Residential Area to vacate the premises voluntarily. The metropolitan authority has issued a public notice today, providing a seven-day deadline to vacate the Lalitpur Residential Area for the protection of public property and requested cooperation in this regard.


The government land at Lalit Niwas in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, which was under dispute regarding ownership and registration in the name of individuals, has been declared as government property by a special court ruling on Falgun 3. The public notice issued by the metropolitan city informs that Lalit Niwas in Ward No. 4 of Baluwatar has been identified as government property according to the decision of the special court on Falgun 3, which was made in a case involving 175 individuals accused of "corruption by registering government land in private individuals' names."


Similarly, the notice states, "This notice is published, urging individuals, companies, and organizations residing in this area to vacate the area within seven days and to cooperate with the metropolitan city in the protection and proper management of government property."


According to the law, if the area is not vacated within the specified time, the metropolitan city will remove any legal issues and manage and protect the government property accordingly.
