The Congress party intends to include all delegates from the contentious district in the committee meeting.

 


On 8th Falgun, Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has decided to invite representatives from the disputed district as members to the ongoing committee meeting in Lalitpur.


This morning, the central executive committee meeting has decided to involve representatives from the disputed districts and federal electoral regions in the committee meeting as invited members. According to the press release issued after the meeting, the decision has been made to invite representatives from the disputed districts and federal electoral regions to participate in the committee meeting scheduled for Falgun 7-10 for reasons such as the failure to elect committee members following the selection of representatives for the 14th convention or lack of consensus, or due to unresolved disputes in the federal electoral regions.


According to the decision of the meeting, representatives from Bara district no. 3, Parsa district no. 1, Solukhumbu, Khotehang, Dhading district no. 1, Dolakha, Okhaldhunga, Kathmandu district no. 5, Dang district no. 3, Kanchanpur district no. 1, Baglung district no. 2, and Sindhuli district no. 2 will be able to participate in the committee meeting. Similarly, the Congress has also decided to involve three members, including the chairman, from 12 fraternal organizations and 6 well-wishing organizations whose central conventions have been completed or leadership changes have occurred.


These fraternal organizations include the Nepal Student Union, Nepal Women's Association, Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Democratic Indigenous Nationalities Federation, Nepal Democratic Sports Association, Nepal Farmers Association, and Nepal Tharu Association.


Similarly, representatives from the National Democratic Disabled Association, Nepal Democratic Ex-Servicemen's Association, Nepal Dalit Association, Nepal Former Soldiers Association, and Nepal Muslim Association, including their respective chairpersons, will also be able to participate in the committee meeting.


Representatives from well-wishing organizations such as Nepal Trade Union Congress, Nepal Teachers Association, Nepal Democratic Lawyers Association, Center for Democratic Engineers Nepal, Democratic Doctors Association, and Nepal Press Union will also be able to participate in the committee meeting.


Previously, the well-wishing organizations had decided to boycott the committee meeting on the grounds that the names of the representatives they had sent were not included.


After the completion of the 14th convention of the Nepali Congress, the decision to involve members in the committee meeting as per the statute of the Nepali Congress's overseas contact committee has also been taken.
