Change Maoists' name and electoral symbol is suggested


 Kathmandu, February 2. The leadership of the CPN Maoist Center has been advised to maintain the party's level of activity by its legislative session delegates.


Himal Sharma stated that office bearers ought to be chosen via direct election when outlining recommendations from his committee. He also mentioned the need for a system of flexibility in party and government nominations, and he advocated giving the provinces more authority.

As many less central members as possible should be included, according to leader Dilip Kumar Prajapati. For partygoers who were full-time, he recommended a clear plan.

According to party leader Kumar Paudel, the constitution should have the necessary clauses allowing the party to wield legislation. For the injured and former Jan Mukti Sena members, he proposed making special accommodations.

Leader Parashuram Ramtel proposed organizing internal worker nominations and evaluations and emphasizing the need of treating untouchability with respect. He mentioned that there has been a proposal to include Nepalis from all over the world and mentioned that the proposal to alter the election symbol has been received.

The leader, Bamdev Chhetri, proposed simplifying the statute and putting provisions in place to form executive provincial and local party committees.

A requirement for obtaining party membership upon naturalization, according to leader Hariraj Adhikari, should be established. He proposed strengthening the party's commission and gradually reducing the size of each body inside the party.

This convention should approve and put into effect the party's constitution, according to leader Ranjit Tamang. He proposed creating a coordinating committee made up of representatives from the party and the administration.

Preamble to scientific socialism should be prepared, according to leader Jhakkuprasad Subedi, who also recommended that caste untouchability be given serious consideration. He said recommendations had been made to abolish the standing committee and plan for party members to be granted citizenship after graduation.

The party should become more technologically adept and renew members online, according to leader Nirmal Acharya's suggestion. It has been suggested, he added, that the party should form a party guardian committee and that the standing committee should be eliminated from the constitution.

In addition to suggesting that the party rename itself and that preparations be made for direct elections, Leader Om Sharma also suggested that the preamble of the bill should be simplified. He added that a people-controlled party and a party-controlled government should be established, and that all committees, including the central committee, should be constituted.

Kanchan Khanal proposed that observers for the convention be maintained in place of the missing and injured, and that convention representatives be chosen among the party committee members. It should incorporate all locations and communities, he added, by making the celebration personable and inclusive.

Saral Sahayatri, the president of Bagmati Province, stated that there have been recommendations to alter the party and election emblems. She also suggested that the preamble, organizational principles, and party members be streamlined. He stated that it is recommended that the convention date be put in stone and that further authority be granted to discipline, accounting, and elections.

The party's leader, Yuvraj Choulagai, put up a proposal to have direct elections for the party committee and suggested that the party's standing committee members be left out of the constitution. He proposed that party members, not only those in the party, should choose candidates for every public office.

Thirteen organizations have so far offered recommendations for the bill. At the convention, which began on Tuesday at the Nepal Pragya Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, the attendees were split up into 20 groups.
