Authorization to hold Vikal and Sunil for a further ten days

Kathmandu, February 2. The special court has granted Vikal Paudel and Sunil Paudel permission to remain in custody for an additional 10 days following their detention during the investigation of the complaint about the unauthorized purchase of property.

The special court's spokesperson, Dhan Bahadur Karki, stated that he was held for a further 10 days after appearing before the panel on Wednesday to request a deadline extension. On January 10, they were both taken into custody.

Prior to this, Vikal and Sunil—who were implicated in two distinct incidents of corruption—were charged with obtaining illicit income, concealing profits overseas, and other offenses.
